At this stage you should have completed or have a good theoretical knowledge to a level of day skipper theory.
Coastal Yachtmaster syllabus takes you through all that you covered in day skipper but in more depth. We move on to more advanced aspects of navigation, the importance of the use of GPS and chart plotters. Meteorology is covered in much more detail, and we also go into more detail on passage planning.
When you have covered all aspects of the theory course it will enable you to plan longer trips and put all your passage planning and knowledge together to make a safe passage.
