Peter

PeterOur Chief Instructor Peter has been around boats since he was a boy when he used to go fishing with his dad.

A RYA instructor for almost 20 years, Pete has experienced most of the world’s oceans and has challenged all the elements. His numerous sailing qualifications, including RYA Instructor for Yachtmaster , Diesel Engine, VHF Radio, and Sea Survival , make him one of the best qualified sailors in Gibraltar.

Pete instructs Coastal Skippers and above and has a innate ability to read his students and build bespoke training programmmes around the individual.

With one of the highest pass rates in the industry, you will be put through your paces by Pete but will be an extremely competent Yachtmaster at the end.

As a fully qualified  RYA Cruising Instructor, with Mel as your skipper you can be secure in the knowledge that you are in very good hands. He will ease you in to sailing with some fun days without pressure and before you know it you will be in command of the boat as if you have done it all your life.

Mel’s sense of humour is his big draw, mostly demonstrated through his alter ego  Port Hand Buoy!

Steve

SteveSteve’s personality brings clients back time after time.  A popular skipper with our younger clients, he is a great instructor for beginners, making clients feel at ease at all times and guaranteeing lots of fun as well.

Steve started out as a Fastrack Yachtmaster trained by Peter and never looked back. His many talents include cooking up a mean chicken fajita dinner.

Carrie

CarrieCarrie’s sailing experience has been diverse. With many miles built up in the Solent, Australia, New Zealand and the Mediterranean. her big passion is making sure the customers are well looked after.

A qualified Cruising and Shorebased Instructor, she is normally found  teaching theory or liaising with clients. With a background in onboard and shoreside corporate sailing event management, she likes nothing  better than to be out on the water making sure that everyone gets the best tuition and hospitality that the school has to offer.

Les

LesLes has a wealth of experience on the high seas and makes every sailing course fun. He has sailed extensively around the Mediterranean yet took to the water 25 years ago on the Thames working as a Bargeman, so we has many stories to share. He has sailed the East coast of England so is no stranger to the effects of tide. His teaching skills are excellent whether you are a complete beginner or about to sit a Yachtmaster exam. Les believes that if you are having fun that you will learn so you can expect a memorable trip.
