Our Yachtmaster Prep week is designed for students who have all the necessary miles and passages to complete the Yachtmaster exam, but who need that last bit of fine tuning on close quarter boat handling. This is an intensive training week which will put you through your paces by sailing onto walls and mooring buoys, simulated engine failures, blind navigation, mooring up in tight spots and anchoring under sail. And we haven’t forgotten all those man overboards. It’s like Sailing Boot Camp, but with a beer at the end of the day. Peter, our Chief Instructor will assess you on day one and put together a bespoke training plan for you.
For students who may have completed their miles over a long period and who would like an extra week of prep, we also offer a two week option. At the end, we can arrange for you to take your exam with a Gibraltar based RYA examiner on your training yacht.
