ROCK Terms & Conditions

1. Bookings
If the booking is made more than 30 days from the start of the course, a 20% non-refundable deposit will secure the course. The deposit for Fastrack courses is £1000. If the booking is within 30 days from the course start date, then the full course fee is due. The final balance should be paid at least 30 days before the course start date using bank transfer. If you fail to pay the final payment on time Rock Sailing reserves the right to cancel your course, with no refund of deposit. By submitting a booking form and paying a deposit, you are accepting the terms and conditions for all members of your party, and you are therefore advised to read them carefully.

2. Confirmation
Rock Sailing will confirm your booking by email within 5 days. A booking is only regarded as definite once the deposit is paid.

3. Cancellation
Rock Sailing reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time and the refund will be limited to monies already paid to Rock Sailing and will not include travel expenses. If you wish to cancel your course, this must be done in writing via email and will be effective from the date that it is received. If you cancel at least 30 days prior to your course start date, you will lose only your deposit. If less than 30 days’ notice of cancellation is given, after the balance has been paid, the full course fee will be forfeited.

4. Amendment
Should you wish to reschedule your course with more than 30 days’ notice we will offer you alternative dates, subject to availability. A £50 administration fee will apply. Should you wish to reschedule your course less than 30 days prior to your course start date we will do our best to sell your place. If your place is filled, you will be able to rebook the course for a £50 administration fee. If, however we are not able to re-sell your place, we will consider it to be a cancellation. The course fee cannot be refunded and the date cannot be re-scheduled once the course has started.

5. Insurance
Rock Sailing will insure the vessel used against all usual marine risks. This insurance policy does NOT cover; personal injury, loss of or damage to personal belongings, travel delays/cancellation, or accommodation ashore due to late arrival. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover yourself.

The RYA Instructor’s decision is final on whether a person has met the competencies according to the RYA syllabus. Some courses require specific pre course experience. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they meet the pre course requirements before booking. If there is any doubt about pre-requisite experience, please contact us prior to booking.
