ROCK Terms & Conditions
Rock Sailing Gibraltar is the RYA trading name of Power and Sail Academy Ltd., Gibraltar.
Your sailing course booking is with Peter Ormond of Rock Sailing Gibraltar, who is a RYA approved Commercial Yachtmaster®. Provisional bookings made by telephone, email or web site will be held for seven days. A completed and signed booking form, together with a deposit of 20% is required to secure a booking. The final balance of your Rock Sailing course should be paid at least 28 days before the start of your sailing course. Failure to pay the balance within 28 days will result in your course being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
Deposit payments can be made by bank transfer, personal cheque or Paypal. Balances can be paid by bank transfer, personal cheque or Paypal, with a 3% surcharge for Paypal.
It is highly recommended for all students to have their own personal insurance in place to cover their time on any course [Holiday insurance]. ROCK Sailing are not responsible for loss or damage of personal possessions while onboard.
All courses must be paid in full, 28 days prior to start date. The company reserves
the right to re-sell any places not paid in full when due. Cancellation before final balance has been paid will incur the charge of the deposit only. Cancellation within 28 days of the course will incur a cancellation charge of 100%.
Rock Sailing will not accept any claims for circumstances beyond its control.
In the event of the company having to cancel any course, Rock Sailing will return any course fees or reschedule the course. Rock Sailing cannot be held responsible for any changes in the sailing program made necessary because of situations outwith their control.
The company reserves the right to refuse any person that is not capable of the course. This includes those under the influence of alcohol or drugs or generally a disruption to other students.
The client accepts that courses or charters are undertaken at entirely their own risk.
We aim to offer the best possible service but, if at any time you are unhappy with any part of the course or charter, please bring this to the attention of the skipper or, if you would prefer, the Chief Instructor, so we can try to remedy the situation immediately.
