November 2014 News from ROCK Sailing

November in the western Mediterranean has daytime temperatures still in the 20s so there is still time to enjoy some sailing in the sunshine. We still have spaces available for Competent Crew and Day Skipper courses for the weeks of 17th and 24th November with the last Express Day Skipper course of the year running from Saturday 29th November.

We are pleased to welcome back one of our 2010 Fast Track Yachtmasters, Nick Pretty who, after several years of managing flotilla fleets has come home to be our full time Yachtmaster Instructor.

For anyone thinking of a course which will qualify them to work as flotilla skippers next season, we are now able to offer any student qualified to Yachtmaster Offshore with Rock Sailing, on our recommendation, at least six weeks paid work with our partner companies in Croatia, Greece and Turkey.

Quote of the month

“Dear Peter, Carrie and especially Martin Smith,
I must thank you for a wonderful week. The yacht was fantastic the crew I was placed with on the course were warm and friendly and the instructor Martin was an absolute gem. Most gems are rare and to come across a gem like Martin was a great find, in fact I thought he was brilliant, a lovely man, and with people like him instructing I will definitely refer you to my friends and members at West Kirby Sailing Club for any sailing courses in the Sunshine of Gibraltar”
